You may or may not be aware that our senior men’s coach of the past two years, Luke Mahoney, has left us to take up the opportunity of coaching Fitzroy in Premier C in 2018. While this is obviously disappointing given the high esteem in which we hold Luke, we wish him well and thank him for his hard work for the Club. Being his first club as a senior player and now as a coach, we know he will always be a true NOB!
Scott Sleep has also had to step down as reserves men’s coach after two seasons as new domestic arrangements will prevent him from committing to the role again. Being the legend he is, Scott will still be involved in the Club next year. We owe him a great debt of gratitude for his efforts in the toughest job in the Club.
We are therefore now seeking to fill these coaching positions and aim to do so within the next three to four weeks. We will keep you informed of appointments as they are made.
